APT of Oxide Heterostructures: Resolving Oxygen Transport Pathways Across Metal-Perovskite Heterostructures - Application note

星期四, 三月 30, 2023

Perovskite-structured transition metal oxides are important technological materials for catalysis and solid oxide fuel cell applications. Understanding oxygen reactivity and transport pathways in oxide catalysts relative to components of the electrochemical cell is essential to guide cell design for optimal performance.

This application note presents recent investigation conducted at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) by Sandra Taylor and team. Atom probe tomography (APT) combined with isotopic tracer techniques provided remarkable opportunity to visualize nanoscale oxygen diffusion and transport pathways in heterostructures.
